Healing Through Weaving
Relax with us as we learn to weave blankets and headbands used for traditional ceremonies. The repetitive motions help soothe the mind as we bless each thread as it is weaved. You can weave these projects for yourself or give them as a gift to someone you care about.
To keep you informed, we will post on Facebook when a class is booked.

Healing Through Canning
Canning is often done in the late summer to early fall to prepare food for the winter. Using recipes passed down through generations, we cook and can together to combat food insecurity as a community. Join people from your community in this time-tested tradition.
We will post when the community has a canning workshop to keep you informed.

Healing Through Visiting Elders
Our elders hold onto all our teachings and impart wisdom to the next generation. If you are struggling with mental or emotional health, come visit an elder. They will sit, listen, and share generational wisdom with you.
To schedule time with an elder, contact “Person Name” here at 604 826-5813 or the band office.

Healing Through Ceremony Participation
Connect with your heritage through the many traditional ceremonies we perform. For example, when a new building is built, land acknowledgment or to brush off others.

Healing Through Medicines and Teas
Traditional medicines and teas have been used to heal since our people have been on this earth. A lot of our salves work more effectively than ones you can get through a doctor. Though not many people know how to make them today, we have a supply for those who are in need.

Healing Through Music
Our people take great pride in singing and drumming. Music offers many opportunities for people of all ages to begin spiritual, mental, and physical healing.
Drumming lessons for children and adults are available. Contact us to register your child or yourself for an upcoming drumming class.

Healing Through Making Instruments
If you enjoy working with your hands, then join us for a drum and rattle-making class. Held throughout the year, we teach the community how to create our traditional instruments.
